The State of Osaka

What tsunami? Radiation? Where did that happen?

I was pretty shocked to see that Osaka is barely affected by what happened to Sendai. I get a few reactions when they read my “Pray for Japan” bracelet, but besides that there’s not much any difference. It’s life as usual at Kwansei Gakuin University, which is the university I’m currently serving at. The interesting thing about this university is that it’s started by a Christian missionary, so there’s a chapel and everything, but most of the campus is not Christian. Even the seminary is only 30% Christian. The chapel is more of a requirement they need to fill. Hearts are still closed and things are still just as difficult.

Apparently there was a 6.7 earthquake but we really didn’t know it happened. It’s to that degree that things outside of Osaka really don’t affect us or the people near here. It’s sad…. but that’s the state it’s in.

Please pray for Team 19 as we continue our ministry in KwanGaku.
