I’ve been a little distracted
Many people have been asking me the same question:
“How does it feel to be daepyo?”
And to this I reply: “It hasn’t hit me yet.”
And it really hasn’t. So much, that though I felt a burden initially, I still felt like any other soonjang. Like I was going to go to LTI, get on fire for my campus, attend trainings and chapels, and live life. So I’ve just been frittering about so far not really doing anything. Then I read this one letter and it hit me suddenly and I was frightened.
I’m such a poor representation of God to handle this.
Please Riverside. I need every one of you guys to be on board and pray for me. That doesn’t mean you have to agree with me on everything, but I hope it does mean you’re willing to work with me in anything.
I realize now more than ever why we pray for leaders, because regardless of whether we like it or not, whether they are spirit led or not, we have to follow them. Whether we like Obama or not, he makes a lot of big decision for us and so we can only pray that God will lead him. In this next year, I hope you will pray for me as well. You may not respect me as a daepyo, soonjang, or maybe even as a brother. That’s fine, that just means I haven’t done anything to gain such respect yet, but please respect your fellow brothers and sisters and if you care for this ministry at all - or even for God’s work at all, please pray for the leadership. Not just me but all of DPD.
Let’s bring revolution to Riverside, not just certain soonjangs, but as a ministry with God.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:28
